Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:“May they prosper who love you. Psalm 122:6
Israel is one of the nation that is close to the heart of God, Throughout the history of bible, Israel is critical in the plan of God. Israel’s desire and hope for peace remains as constant as her enemies’ desires for her death and destruction. Israel needs continued prayer for Angelic hosts to encamp around the Land.
The starting point for defining the border between Israel and a Palestinian state are the June 4, 1967, armistice lines that were set after Israel won control of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the Sinai and the Golan Heights in the Six-Day War. An agreement on the boundaries of a future Palestinian state, however, would still leave Israel's border with Syria unresolved. In exchange for signing a peace treaty with Israel. Palestinians seek a sovereign Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza, with a capital in East Jerusalem. They want Israel to remove the West Bank settlements housing more than 300,000 Jews and end its military presence there.
From 1949 to 1967, East Jerusalem was under Jordanian control. After capturing East Jerusalem in the 1967 war, Israel annexed it – expanding it significantly – and declared Jerusalem its “undivided and eternal” capital.
Since then, the Palestinian population has quadrupled, reducing the Jewish majority in Jerusalem as a whole to 65 percent. In a bid to cement Israeli sovereignty, some 2,000 Jews have moved into strategic locations around the Old City, while rapidly expanding communities elsewhere in East Jerusalem have brought the total number of Jews there to nearly 200,000.
Palestinians say such expansions threaten their plans for a capital in East Jerusalem. It may be easier to draw hundreds of miles of Israeli-Palestinian border than it would be to decide the future of a single city. It's assumed that a Palestinian state would claim Jerusalem as its capital. Israel claims that now, but the United States and other nations don't recognize it and keep their embassies in Tel Aviv.
Israel, the West Bank, and surrounding countries rely on the Jordan River and its tributaries for much of their water supply, and most of the underground aquifers used by Israel are underneath the West Bank.
More than 4.4 million Palestinian refugees are living in political limbo — often still in refugee camps around the world. Many are descendents of Palestinians who fled their homes in what's now Israel, and their fate is one of the most important and challenging issues for Arab leaders.
n 1950, the UN Relief and Works Agency recorded almost 1 million refugees in what is now the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. Today, there are more than 4.5 million refugees in the region, and almost 1.5 million of those refugees remain in UN-run refugee camps.
Israel is opposed to allowing Palestinians to return to Israel, a migration that would threaten the country's status as a majority Jewish nation,
Israel, only about the size of New Jersey, has lived its entire life in a state of hot or cold war with its much larger Arab neighbors, and Israelis are reluctant to accept a well-armed Palestinian nation next door.
Israel says a crucial condition for any peace agreement is a guarantee of security within its borders, something it believes Palestinian security forces are not yet capable of maintaining. Palestinians are uncomfortable with Israeli security forces maintaining a presence in a future Palestinian state.
Israeli soldiers are currently deployed throughout a majority of the West Bank, aside from the areas where Palestinians have full military and civil control. Most previous Israelis population growth low
Another problem is the demographic problem. The growth rate in the hareidi population is 4.2%, which means the hareidi Israelis will double within 17 years. The Arab population will double within 25 years, while the rest of the population has a 1.7% growth rate, meaning it will double itself in 40 years.”
If the trends continue, he warned, secular Israelis will be in the minority within 50 years.
1.who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire and like launderer's soap. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord an offering in righteousness." (Malachi 3: 2-3; see also Ezekiel 36: 24-27) Please specifically pray for purity:
·Among Israeli Messianic Jewish and Arab Christian leaders and congregations;
·Among believing youth in the Land;
·In sharing the Gospel;
·In Israeli hearts to receive Yeshua as the only authentic sacrificial libation;
·In the Israeli government, military and all sectors of Israeli society (especially repentance from corruption and a return to the God of our fathers);
·Towards the unborn (abortion rates are thankfully coming down but still high);
·Among Palestinian/Arab Christian brothers and sisters, and all others, who deny biblical and historical, ancestral Jewish ties to the Temple Mount area where the purity seal was unearthed.
2.Pray that the Lord should show mercy and favor to Israel in this set time. (Psalm 102:13)
3.Raise up government leaders in Israel (and worldwide) who will not seek to “divide the land,” and who would recognize the unique significance of Jerusalem in God’s end-time purposes.
4.He who scattered Israel will gather him, and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock. (Jeremiah 31:10) Father, continue to draw the Jewish people to you according to Your sovereign plan.
5.Destroy and divide the tongues of those who would incite violence against Israel. (Psalm 55:9) In the name of Jesus, we bind every false religion and false doctrine that does not acknowledge Your eternal plan for the land and people of Israel The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes their plans of no effect. (Psalm 33:10) We declare that God’s purposes for Israel will be completely fulfilled and that He will be glorified
6.Pray for rain this winter. "Ask the Lord for rain in the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain..." (Zechariah 10:1)
7.Pray for Israel's recently discovered offshore gas reserves to be protected and quickly utilized. "...The abundance of the sea shall be turned to you..." (Isaiah 60:5)
8.Pray for aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel from the nations) to increase in God's timing and leading. "'Therefore behold, the days are coming,' says the Lord, 'that it shall no more be said, "The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of Egypt," but, "The Lord lives who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north and from all the lands where He had driven them." For I will bring them back into their land which I gave to their fathers.'" (Jeremiah 16:14-15)
9.Pray for Israel to bless the nations this year with more breakthrough discoveries and inventions, particularly in the fields of medical care and environmental conservation. "For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?" (Romans 11:15)
10.Most importantly, pray for the salvation of the Jewish people in Israel and the nations. "Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved." (Romans 10:1)
